The Evolution of Die Bees®
What started in 2018 as a tribute to family and a way out of the 9–5 quickly turned into something far greater than expected. Die Bees® was built on humble beginnings.
But somewhere along the road, it became clear: this wasn’t just a side hustle. This was a calling.
In late 2019 after trying out different product options, our very first t-shirt design hit the market. Locally made. Simple and Comfortable. South Africans responded and orders came in. The logo started to mean something and slowly but surely Die Bees® found its new identity.
Then 2020 came. The pandemic turned the world upside down. But where others paused, Die Bees® was staying focused on the essentials. Built a clothing brand that stood for grit, community, and pride, at a time when South Africa needed exactly that.
From online hustle to a small physical store, from solo orders to supplying select retailers, Die Bees® became more than a brand. It became a symbol of resilience and local pride.
But as all great journeys go, the road had its challenges. In 2024, with rising costs and shifting markets, Die Bees® took an unexpected break. But not an ending, a reset.
And now, in 2025, Die Bees® is back with fresh new designs and big dreams
